ABSTRACT

Ileus is defined as the inability to remove gut contents. Intestinal obstruction, the passage of intestinal contents is partially or completely blocked. The main target in ileus is to diagnose strangulation, which requires emergency surgery. Clinical findings, patient history, and X-ray are helpful in diagnosis. Computed tomography is very helpful in the differential diagnosis. The differential diagnosis of ileus and radiological findings are presented.
